What We Believe
We believe that
- God created the world for His glory and purposes.
- We (humans) are made in God’s image and we should honor and thank God with our lives.
- However, our nature has become corrupt. We never give God thanks or honor.
- We are not good people; we seek to live for ourselves instead of God. Therefore, we deserve God’s punishment (death and separation from God).
- Because God is good, he has shown us grace (something that we do not deserve) by sending his son, Jesus, to die in our place on the cross.
- Jesus is fully God and fully human. His death was able to pay for our punishment, and reconcile man to God.
- Jesus was raised from the dead, and is now Lord and Savior!
- If we repent of our own self living and have faith in Jesus Christ, and make him lord of our lives, we are united to His righteousness and our disobedience to God is forgiven.
- We can know that we have true faith in Jesus Christ when we desire to live for Him, know Him, and love others.
- If we do not have faith in Jesus, we will one day face judgment.
